## Before you start

An open project or supported workspace.

## Workflow

Use the editor as the main work surface. Open build output while compiling and debug/capture views while investigating. Adjust the layout and use the command palette to find an operation without memorizing panel positions.

## Interpret the result

A panel being available does not mean its backend is configured for the current device. Follow its prerequisites and empty-state guidance.

For an unexplained result, preserve the source/configuration and observation together. Use [Diagnose a failure](/workflows/diagnose) to turn it into a reproducible investigation. Check [support boundaries](/reference/limitations) before assuming a vendor-specific operation is implemented.
