# Support boundaries

> Plan validation around explicit integration limits.

The IDE is under active development. No claim is made that every vendor-managed project, chip, probe or trace format is fully supported.

* Native CMake, PlatformIO, ESP-IDF and Zephyr workflows have distinct configuration requirements.
* Proprietary managed-project adapters and complete Devicetree/Kconfig language services are incomplete.
* An SVD does not provide a flash algorithm or validate board wiring.
* The generic starter is a source skeleton; vendor startup/vector/runtime configuration must be supplied before hardware use.
* Multi-image/preset artifact provenance and some vendor-specific debug/trace operations require explicit setup.
* Physical-device acceptance must be performed for your exact board, SDK, probe and backend.
* AI grounding is evidence-based assistance, not a guarantee that every response is correct.

When evaluating Prescaler, run a representative build, program/verify cycle, attach/reset cycle, breakpoint, fault investigation and recovery test. Record failures with the actual command, native configuration and tool versions.
