# Troubleshooting workflow

> Find the failed boundary before changing configuration.

| Symptom                        | First check                                                             |
| ------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| No project recognized          | Open the native application root; inspect project markers               |
| Build cannot start             | Select one environment/board and verify SDK tools                       |
| Missing headers in editor      | Regenerate the compilation database and generated headers               |
| Flash cannot connect           | Probe selection, power, driver, transport and exact target script       |
| Source does not match debugger | ELF identity and source revision                                        |
| Empty trace                    | Firmware instrumentation, backend capability, clock and connection      |
| AI answer lacks evidence       | Attach source/observation and request retrieval before a hardware claim |

Capture the first failure and full operation output. Repeatedly changing unrelated settings often hides the original problem. Include IDE version, host OS, SDK version, target configuration and reproduction steps in a report. Remove credentials and product-sensitive data before sharing logs.
