Workflow

Resolve the configured part, inspect the source/version of its register map and load an explicit SVD when needed. Keep reference manuals and board documents associated with the correct part/revision.

Interpret the result

Catalog matches are not physical detection. Packs can contain device-family descriptions; verify the match before using it to reason about a specific part. For an unexplained result, preserve the source/configuration and observation together. Use Diagnose a failure to turn it into a reproducible investigation. Check support boundaries before assuming a vendor-specific operation is implemented.
