Observe application output over a selected serial port.

Before you start

A serial-capable device, correct port and baud rate.

Workflow

Select the intended port, set the framing/baud options offered by the monitor, and connect. Capture a bounded interval around the event you are investigating. Keep timestamps and configuration with exported output.

Interpret the result

Serial output does not establish chip identity or debug-probe availability. Firmware logging can change timing; missing output may be a baud, wiring or firmware problem. For an unexplained result, preserve the source/configuration and observation together. Use Diagnose a failure to turn it into a reproducible investigation. Check support boundaries before assuming a vendor-specific operation is implemented.
